I'm a travel writer and photographer based in Brighton, UK.
My writing has appeared in most of the UK's national newspapers and specialist travel magazines over the years.
I recently spent a summer wearing covert camera gear as an undercover reporter for ITV's Holidays Undercover - and stayed in the worst hotel I've ever visited in the process (in Blackpool). I've also recently written a new guidebook to Seville - one of my favourite cities. I'm now trying to work out how to avoid permanent neck injury from having a video camera round my neck as well as a still camera. Life used to be so much easier with just a pencil and notepad. (But not half as much fun!)
You can find out more on my travel blog, Travelblather.
Brighton - browsing the funky shops in the North Laines area. I'm totally biased as I live there!
Seville - munching tapas in a busy bar at lunchtime, perfect
Trans-Siberian railway - the most memorable trip I've done and my first cover feature for The Times travel section
Thailand's islands - full moon parties on Haad Rin beach, Koh Phan Ngan. I've been to six!
Petra, Jordan - been there three times and it's still just as spellbinding
Kizhi, Russia - the awesome multi-domed wooden churches here are totally unique
